  3. Simple Installation Program for Pilot/Mac

  5. What is it?
  6. Ñ SimpleInst is a Macintosh Applet, a replacement of InstallApp included in MacPac, to install applications on Pilot/PalmPilot.
  7. Ñ This is a freeware, but the auther retains the copyright.

  9. Feature
  10. Ñ You can install pilot applications, just drag & drop files onto SimpleInst on Finder.
  11. Ñ It is small (~17k) and requires a little amount (128k) of memory.
  12. Ñ It is a 68K application.

  14. How to use
  15. Ñ To install pilot applications, just drag and drop them on SimpleInst icon. They will be transfered to pilot on the next HotSync. That's all
  16. Ñ Pressing control key on the launch, you can set up the program to use with Pilot Desktop or Now Sync.
  17. Ñ Pressing command key on the launch, you will see the preferences dialog.

Ñ (For developers) Just running SimpleInst without any dropped files, it sets a flag in 'Pilot Desktop Preferences' file to request for installation to HotSync program. So you change your makefile to copy your application to your install folder and to run SimpleInst, you can transfer your application easily after build.
